Son of God mention on Star Trek

I remember when I first saw this episode and how it gave me chills when Uhura explains how the people on a planet aren't worshiping the "sun" but the "Son of God."

The whole idea of Star Trek pays homage to the "Sun centered Universe" where "outer space" replaces "the heavens" and the earth prostrates itself in an orbit around the Sun.


The irony of the scene is just off the charts.
