You'd have to get used to it I guess, I really don't know -I'm an introvert myself.. unless someone is pushing me I usually don't go anywhere.. I've learned to live with not being as outgoing as others, I find it difficult to enjoy socializing in public or "getting out" in today's social climate but I've pretty much been this way since I was a child.. it just took me a long time to accept that everyone is different and that I prefer (or require rather) a more intimate setting with close friends and relatives opposed to the adventurous 'norm' of public secular society in general..
Venture out if your spirit compels you but don't beat yourself up over it, ask God, and keep in mind that Christ knew He would be publicly crucified even when he was healing others and telling them to remain quiet as not to draw in a crowd.. patience is key in relation to God's guidance and will, other than that I really can't offer any wise advice
not saying that other's can't, I just know that I've tried to become more outgoing before but have always found myself wanting to get away from crowds in general so I no longer beat myself up over it but just kinda ride along with whatever God wills of me, you can be shy but confident through and through always
