The news has said that some prisoners are set to get the Covid vaccine while the elderly and healthcare workers are still waiting to get theirs. Do you think this is fair for them to be first? One man in line would be the mastermind behind 911.

I wouldn't put them before those in various elderly care situations, but they have a risk almost as high, so I'd put them right after group 1a, which is medical workers and nursing homes.

Incidentally, NJ considers them in group 1A, although in practice they started with medical workers and nursing homes. Unfortunately we depended upon the Federal arrangements for nursing homes. Those have been a lot slower than everyone expected.

When I first read about prisoners getting vaccines early in the UK, I was also quite concerned and thought it was stupid. But then I realised it actually helps keep the prison staff safe which I think is quite important

Sure. Because then it helps keep the prison staff from catching the disease and going out into the world and spreading it.
