Should people who aren’t organ donors be able to receive a donated organ? (Why or Why Not)

Of course they should. Not everyone is able to medically donate an organ due to certain diseases. I couldn't even donate blood for some years after my cancer but does that mean I shouldn't be able to receive blood either?

I don't see why not.

Some people may be medically unable to donate organs, in which case there's no need to deny them an organ. People who are opposed to organ donation are probably equally opposed to receiving a donated organ.

In any event we desperately need to get away from the attitude seen in some quarters that acts as if our bodies are owned by some external entity.

I used to give blood at the Red Cross blood drives, but some time in the 1990s they rejected me, said I tested positive for Hep C, which I never knowingly had. I am still healthy so can't imagine I had Hep C and recovered without medical intervention, but they will not take my blood. So I suspect my organs might not be desired either.
