I'll change my vote once I know that it was actual archival document and government property.. I know it was signed by Trump that's all.

So I say no as of now instead of unsure because it's based on the information I have.

Also it seems like government officials are never punished, I believe many political officials should be punished in some way but I am certain that shredding the letter of the state of the union in public will only be laughable, her misery and hate seems to be punishing her enough

I think people might be surprised that I don't think she should be punished. I think that she shouldn't be allowed within the same tv screen frame as Trump ever again. She threw a temper tantrum and made a bad choice. Maybe there will be consequences that naturally follow without a forced punishment?

If she broke the law she should be punished. If she didn't then what she did was in poor taste but nothing more. Poor taste doesn't have to be formally punished.

Let's face it, those on the political right will largely despise her whatever she does and those on the political left will largely praise her whatever she does, so it's not as if it's going to make a lot of difference to her political fortunes.

I think they are looking into the breaking of laws. Could be punishable for up to 3 years in jail. A violation of 18 U.S.C. § 2071, Section 2071 (a) Even if it was her copy, some are saying it was a legally signed Constitutionally required document.

It is not illegal to rip up a COPY of a speech. This was not the copy sent to the LOC for archival purposes. Moreover if you want to punish her for this, what will you do with the Orange Idiot who regularly shreds government documents? In fact he's shredded so many people have had to be hired to stick them back together.
