A school initially tried to censor the speech of a high school valedictorian and thankfully they have backed down.

"I’m grateful I will be able to share my faith with my classmates, and I pray that God uses this situation to advance His kingdom," Turner said in a statement Thursday shared by First Liberty Institute, a legal nonprofit that defends First Amendment rights.

Is there any video recording of the students speech?

I'm not sure if she's given it yet. It had to be pre-approved by the Principal at first and was rejected for the portion about her beliefs.

I figured all those variables into account.
Yet I've yet to see a release of the students original script provided for scrutiny.
After the student brought secular law to the table they will likewise be judged by torah.

Blessings Always

Well, here is a snip from her speech:

“For me, my future hope is found in my relationship with Christ. By trusting in him and choosing to live a life dedicated to bringing his kingdom glory, I can be confident that I am living a life with purpose and meaning. My identity is found by what God says and who I want to become is laid out in scripture,” Turner’s original speech read.

A snip doesn't provide evidence for why her speech was censored and a lawsuit followed.

Furthermore;
It's not christian like to spread hearsay.

The quoted post is actual content of her speech and not hearsay.

How are you so certain of the content?

Because it was in quotes in multiple newspapers and they couldn't quote it as being part of the speech if it wasn't true. They could be sued.

Technically they could only be sued if they're proved to have libeled or infringed upon a copywrite.
An example occurred a while back when a young male teen won a case.
Nicholas Sandmann

Newspapers use freedom of speech and press to write all sorts of opinions and quotations of another person's "words out of context" with the motive of garnering attention like a depraved sociopath.

My point about hearsay is, where's the complete script that was being censored?
And exactly which part was being censored?
Or is the entire account a fictional peice.

Its hearsay for the media to take a single quotation and use public opinion to form a conclusion without all the evidence.

Which is borderline libel.
