SABBATH KEEPING

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Israel alone was to keep the sabbath.

There is no commandment given to the church, the body of Christ to observe the sabbath.

The sabbath was a covenant. The covenants pertain only to Israel (Romans 9:4).

I would suggest you have read further in Romans 9: 6 But [it is] not as though the word of God hath come to nought. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel: 7 neither, because they are Abraham's seed, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh that are children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned for a seed.


Galatians3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

When the Christian that honored the day God made for them, Sabbath, dies and appears at the judgment seat, I do not reckon that sister or brother shall be judged and condemned for taking their rest from this world for one full day as prescribed, sundown Friday unto sundown Saturday, to be in the Lord and not distracted at all by the world.

If I'm wrong, then I welcome the outer darkness because I did not labor under mans edict of division of the body of Christ, in order to think myself saved by the rule of man.

Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

I was merely saying the church, the body of Christ is not commanded to keep the sabbath as Israel was.
