Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady and humanitarian who championed mental health care, provided constant political counsel to her husband, former President Jimmy Carter, and modeled graceful longevity for the nation, died Sunday at her home in Plains, Georgia, according to the Carter Center.

Carter was 96. She had entered hospice care in her home on Friday.

Married to Jimmy for 77 years. What a wonderful couple. May she rest in peace. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear about his death within the next few weeks, if not days.

They were good people, but I feel like their view of defence against the Soviets and others was naive. Anyway, you can say Carter didn't wimp out of serving his country on the frontline when he was younger.
