Regardless of their opinion on gay people, it’s objectively good for public health to prevent the spread of disease. This ruling harms everyone.

It really is ridiculous the way health is tied to employment. Truth be told the way healthcare "functions" in the US in general seems pretty stupid in many respects.

On one hand it's perfectly reasonable that conservative Christians should not be forced to directly fund proedures they fund morally unacceptable, even abhorrent. On the other hand it does raise the question why someone's employer should get to decide what medical procedures they may and may not have.

Will we see people dying because they desperately need a blood transfusion but their JW employers have been granted an exemption from providing blood transfusions because they dislike the procedure?

In theory people are always free to fund their own treatment but in practice the cost of treatments is almost certainly prohibitive for the vast majority.
