2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Some say that the verses above are saying that if we suffer, we shall reign with Christ; if we do not, we won't be qualified to reign.
It is my assertion, that in the verses above, Paul is referring to Israel.
The elect in verse 10 above is Israel. Isaiah 45:4
In verse 11 above; Israel knew that God is the God of the living. Matthew 22:32
In verse 12 above; Israel was given to know that it would suffer persecutions; and was to endure in the tribulation, before his glory was revealed, and they would reign on earth with Christ. Revelation 5:10 1 Peter 4:13
Also in verse 12 above; If Israel denied Christ, they would be denied. Matthew 10:33
In verse 13 above; God would remain faithful to His word and promises even if Israel was in unbelief. Numbers 23:19 Romans 3:4 Romans 9:6 Romans 11:29
Paul endured so that Israel could also be saved. Paul's desire was to save Jews unto eternal life by believing the gospel of Christ. Paul also wanted the nation of Israel to receive the inheritance of the earthly Kingdom promised to them by God. Romans 1:16 Romans 9:4 Romans 10:1 Romans 11:26 Romans 11:27 Romans 11:28
