What Lammchen said - where there's the feature for people to nominate threads I want to be able to see what has been nominated and how often, and getting people to nominate this one gave me what I needed in a controlled way. At present this is the most nominated thread, but it would seem like awfully bad form to promote my own test thread to the featured list :)
