Spankings from mom were light, although I wailed like it was effective to avoid spankings from dad. Spankings from dad were serious, involving a belt or tree branch. When I got older, grounding without computer/tv/entertainment privileges. When I turned 18, it was being turned out to fend for myself.

Typically, I was a pretty good kid. Fairly obedient; I never got in much trouble. But I DO recall some "struggles" with my mom - disrespect or mouthing off. We had our power issues, LOL. She didn't stand for it; mom ran a tight ship.
