I have been thought from childhood that pray with a condition or term and once the prayer is answered fulfill your promises.

Ex: I will donate 1000 INR to a ministry if i get a good job or if an important job gets done without any issues.

Is that condition or terms a way to try and manipulate God to do what you want? How about just trusting God to do what is best for you?

I understand that, nowadays I don’t do that. But in Bible we see many scenarios where Men of God say sacrifice or do these things to please God. Will this somewhat similar or as you said Trust God and wait for the best

the thing is that we don't always know what is best for ourselves, but God does. So, ultimately we have to pray that God's will is done. If God doesn't want you to have certain things or for certain doors to open for opportunities you just have to trust that there is a reason for that that you don't know. Since God is all knowing, he knows things you don't.

This is exactly it. It's about God's perfect will...our will is corrupt with sin so we aren't going to choose what's best when we pray. We will pray with a greedy nature in mind instead of a humble one. If we pray asking that God's will be done then we are in line with what He wants to happen since we cannot force God to bend to our will.
