It's not uncommon to encounter Christians claiming that it's impossible to keep the
law of Moses. Well; that's just not true because Moses himself said it's possible
(Deut 30:11) plus: Josiah was able to keep it (2Kgs 23:25) Zacharias and his wife
were able to keep it (Luke 1:5-6) Paul the apostle was able to keep it (Phil 3:6) and
Jesus of Nazareth was able to keep it. (John 8:29, 2Cor 5:21, Heb 4:15, 1Pet 2:22)

* I didn't list Abraham (Gen 26:5) because Moses' law wasn't yet codified as a
covenant back in his day.

"For all have sinned and fallen short." I read that somewhere.

When you say 'keep the law of Moses', what do you mean?

Do you mean they never broke the Law? Do you mean they sinned but were obedient to what the Law required in bringing a sacrifice for their sins?

In other words, many of those you mention were obedient to the Law in that they acknowledged what the Law said of them as sinners, and they obeyed in bringing the correct sacrifice. That is keeping the Law.

Jesus Christ being the exception. He not only never sinned, never broke the Law, but He fulfilled every aspect of the Law.

Concerning Paul, you misrepresent what is being said. Paul said in (Philippians 3:6) concerning himself, "....touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless." In other words, no one could cast blame upon Paul in keeping the Law. But Paul knew better. (Rom. 7:7-8) "...I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet."

In other words...did you want to? You may not have done it...but did you want to? Sin.

Causing him to say, (Philippians 3:8-9) "...that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith."

Go ahead and keep the law if you like. Enjoy the righteousness you pretend to stand in. Just know, it is not enough.
