Pool, lake... ocean?

If you swim, where did you learn to swim? Was it a pool, lake, river, or ocean... or something else?

Who taught you? Or did you jump right in and taught yourself?

I learned how to swim in 7th grade gym class. There was a session of pool time and the teacher taught me at the corner of the pool and since I was so buoyant, it was easier than I thought!

I've swam in all the above.... I prefer a pool, simply because the water is warm and kinda clean and populated otherwise only by persons (hopefully good-looking females) and not fish.
