Is there anyone in your family who is involved in politics whether it be a mayor, governor, state representative? If so, how does that affect family holidays? Do you talk politics or avoid it?

Nope! Although my high school algebra teacher is now a state representative. He would help us figure out the answers even during the tests and would preach about Jesus during class. That was about 10 years ago.

But we have our politic issues! My father is a "Dotto Head" Conservative, who pretty much lives on Fox News and Conservative Radio (He currently like Ted Cruz or Rubio, but things they are both terrible on immigation). My mother is a "bleeding heart liberal" EXCEPT that she is strongly pro-life and traditional family. She's very frustrated with the Democrat party but she's very liberal generally.

My older brother leans toward my mother's side and is a registered democrat. He hates Hillary, however - she's fake, flawed and not liberal enough.

I'm a registered republican but mostly because I'm pro-life and can't resolve that with the Dems as my mother has. On MOST things, I tend to lean conservative but not always.

My sister thinks that all politians are ego-maniacs and that it is a miracle of God that our country works AT ALL. She is Independent. She likes Ben Carson.

We RARELY discuss politics when we get together, lol. Especially Mom and Dad...... Dad even goes into his den if he's watching Fox News as she will just turn off the TV. He does the same when she's watching some lib talk so or interview - it's actually kind of ugly among two who normally are lovey-dovey to a sickening degree. :swordfight:
