If you met a lovely person and really hit it off, would it be a deal breaker for you if you found out they had a child?
I personally wouldn't use that as a factour not to date someone. In fact, I would date someone if they had children, it just definitely wouldn't be something that I preferred. I would prefer someone who had no big attachments like that and we can start a family of our own, but if I hit it off with someone I won't let that get in the way of it. I'll just be dating two people instead of one. lol

I am single with three kids from a previous marriage. I know that it is an issue for some people, but for me it just makes things easier. If the kids are a problem then I guess The Lord has other plans for me.

Kind of academic since I'm not looking for someone right now (being happily married and all that). That said once you get past a certain age it's kinda expected that someone will have kids from a previous relationship. I would expect them to be a part of the package - you either take the whole package or reject the whole package.

I wouldn't say kids were an automatic showstopper, obviously it would depend on the specific kids. If someone had the kind of spoilt brats that always got exactly what they wanted, when they wanted, whatever the cost, I'd tread very carefully.
