Paul VI Audience Hall

Supposably Pope Paul VI liked modern architecture and had his audience hall built to his liking. This reminds me of how the religious renaissance paintings ordained by the Pontiff would hide subliminal symbolism in the painting (example: the angel flicking off the Pope)
The modern artwork of the resurrected Jesus baffles me as well, im sure their is an official explanation for this weird wounded headed Jesus :/
Also the hall definitely does not look like a snake whatsoever.

It's filled up on Wednesdays apparently - for the papal audience. He teaches for a while each Wednesday. I think that the text of the teaching is downloadable from the Vatican web site.

Do you have any insight on why its designed to look like a severed snakes head? Maybe symbolic to severing the snake, or being "wise as serpents"?
As always many folks believe it to be sinister but I must agree that there is an uncanny resemblance to a snake. The eyes the fangs the tongue the shape...

I have no idea if anybody thought of snakes, but I guess somebody has to spend their time thinking up something
