May Americans NOT make this political.... When FDR was hospitalized, ALL Americans prayed for him and wanted nothing more than for him to recover; no one suggested we should celebrate and hope he dies. When JFK was shot, ALL Americans prayed for him and wanted nothing other than for him to survive and recover, no one suggested we should celebrate. When Reagan was shot, ALL Americans prayed for him and wanted nothing other than for him to quickly recover. When Clinton has his heart attack, ALL Americans (Republicans and Democrats, people who liked his politics and those who did not) prayed for him and wanted nothing other than a full and swift recovery. But today, I saw two items on facebook - one showing a man celebrating and rejoicing and laughing. Another with multiple four-letter words to punctuate, "I hope the _____ _____dies and rots in hell."
Regardless of what any may think of his policies, our president and his wife have a HORRIBLE disease and because of his age and a health issue, he is at a higher risk. As Christians (or even as civilized people), can we join in just praying for him and genuinely hoping God answers it? We ONCE could.
