OIffering honour to people

Do any people in your knowledge deserve to be honoured by us as Christians and if so who and why and to what extent? Are the saints, like saint Francis of Assisi deserving of honour from Christians?

Do any people in your knowledge deserve to be honoured by us as Christians and if so who and why and to what expect? Are the saints, like saint Francis of Assisi deserving of honour from Christians?

Of course. LOTS of people are worthy of our esteem and respect. And obviously, this would include a lot of RCC members! Indeed, I suspect that one of the most adored and revered people of the 20th Century would be Mother Theresa of India (now declared a saint by her denomination), even non-Christians deeply honor and revere her.

I wish our society would venerate people like Mother Theresa and St. Francis rather than pop stars and sports stars..... Society today seems to make very poor choices on who is placed on a pedestal.

What is your definition of "honour"?
