The President has recently acted to prevent the 3M Company from shipping N95 face masks to Canada. Ironically much of the material to make those masks is shipped to the USA from a paper mill in Canada. The Governor of Florida has acted to prevent Canadians trapped on cruise ships from returning to Canada. The President has also threatened to militarize the Canadian border. Canadians are more than angry. I am deeply disappointed.

Amid COVID-19 Tensions, Canadians Remind U.S. They’ve Always Had Their Back

We have always been there when you needed us
* in WW1 we helped hold the enemy at bay for almost 3 years before you pitched in
* in WW2 we helped hold the enemy at bay for almost 2 years before you pitched in
* we fought side-by-side with you in Korea and we saved your bacon at Kap Yong
* in 1980 we saved your diplomats in Iran
* at 9/11 we took in over 30,000 Americans in 230 airliners and fed and housed you in our homes for a week
* we fought side-by-side with you in Afghanistan
* we help fight your wild fires
* we send crews of linemen to help restore your power after hurricanes

Under the leadership of Donald Trump the USA is becoming, to use his own words, (staff edit)".

I thought I saw on the news where the governor of Florida finally allowed them to un-board the ship? Do you mean he wouldn't let them return from where the came? Being Canada? I don't really keep up with the news I just saw that on TV. Donald Trump doesn't handle a lot of things the right way. Though I am a Republican regardless. Also that's odd he'd stop masks from being shipped there.

The Canadians were eventually allowed to disembark and return home although the last I heard there were still a few in Florida hospitals. As for the masks, someone whispered wisdom in Trump's ear and he exempted Canada and Mexico. In being elected President Donald Trump was elevated several levels beyond his competence.

Donald trump is just a bit over-confident. I think the job really took a toll on his attitude towards getting the job done. He seems to be much more confident than he should be. As for being able to return home. That's great news. I saw on Good Morning America that they were able to get off the ship but keep in mind there were some people who had the virus actually aboard the ship from what I heard.
