I'm confused (no jokes, now)...... What exactly is this other website for? How is it different than this site? I thought you were developing a prayer ministry for the people HERE - some kind of expansion of the prayer request forum at CH. But this is a whole other site - but with a debate subforum, a theology subforum, pretty much the things this site has. Is this a replacement for CH but maybe with a prayer focus (and if so, why)? Is this simply another CH - this one the work of George? Could someone explain?

George, will you be continuing here? ArmyWife?

Beyond confusion, my FIRST thought is..... why split CH? Many of us are working HARD to increase CH - to get more and better discussions with more folks. Could this be incorporated into the forums of CH? Again, I'm not understanding.

I'm ALL in favor of prayer, of course.

Sorry for my confusion....

This is an entirely different project than CH. I got the idea back in December, and isn't connected to CH. This isn't a replacement for CH at all, but something I have been working on. The idea is a blog where people can submit prayers and prayers they have written to the blog. It's a prayer blog really. If I made it out to be as an extension of CF I apologize, but that wasn't the intention.

Yes I will be continuing here. I'm sure Army Wife will continue, I just had her help out as a Beta Tester. :)

And the idea isn't splitting CH. As far as incorporating it to CH, it really wouldn't work. As I'm running MPC with a different idea and plan to take it to other avenues, it couldn't run as a subforum and whatnot, especially with the main blog.

No you're fine, I didn't mean to cause any confusion with this.

Thank you! I didn't mean at all to imply you meant to cause confusion. ONLY that I was confused (happens a lot).

Thanks for your explanation.

And thanks for remaining active here!

Could you have a prayer thread here that would be carried over to your site for those who have requests because having it in both places is a nice idea.

You're doing a great job with your site, George. Is it Xenforo?

If truth be told, if and when I decide to migrate, Xenforo looks like the best alternative to me. vBulletin 5 is so lacking without the PHP plugin hook system, and I understand that overall Xenforo is quicker and more efficient than vB 4.x or 5.x.

I wish you the best with your new site, and if I can ever be of any assistance with any coding issues you may encounter while customizing your site, please feel free to shoot me a PM or post here. :)

I thought they're putting in some stuff to be able to allow you guys to code again, unless I read it wrong? And thank you Mark, that is greatly appreciated. :)

XF takes some time to get used to, but it's overall a good software. Only down side is that a lot of the addons that should be core or at least with a modest price have a huge price tag. Your Featured Threads were released for free, over there they're $70. :saddd:

Yes, there has been talk of restoring the PHP plugin hook system to vB 5, but so far nothing more than talk from what I have seen. I think they will do it eventually though.

Some vBulletin coders will release a stripped down "Lite" version of their add-ons, and then make available on their own sites a "Pro" version for purchase, and some of those can be pretty spendy too. Most simply release their work for free though. I feel like releasing my work for free is a way for me to give back to that community, because I have benefited from the free work of others myself.
