I have always enjoyed attending my family's yearly reunion where I can hold the newborn babies, enjoy a long chat with dear cousins and stuff my gut until it's time to carry me to my car at the end of the day. Now this year is quite different in that I would much rather remain home but I feel guilty for not making the trek out to the park to participate being that it is only once a year and there are even those who fly in especially for the event. Are family reunions very important and is it fine for me to miss one year and promise to return the following one?
