Music Teaches Us Theology

Martin Luther wrote a lot of hymns to teach the people about God. It's funny that as I get older and get some brain fog at times, that I can easily remember hymns.

Do you find it easy to remember hymns? Most of the hymns in the Lutheran Service Book come from scripture and I find that when my pastor does a bible study or preaches his sermon that a verse he mentions triggers a hymn in my brain...and of course I'm silently singing in my head.

Songs we sing in church should contain sound theology.

Sadly a lot of the more contemporary music contains an awful lot of drivel and filler, an awful lot of stuff about me, and sometimes some outright toxic theology.

My husband, a Pastor, will reference hymns during his sermons. We have a rich heritage in our hymnody.

Colossians 3:15-18 Jesus message is that he wants us to sing and admonish us with songs of psalms and gratitude. We ar meant as christians to sings songs of love to our God and worship something the bible does say and the israelites of Israel did do.

So songs they are one things the words of God and something science teaches us is that words are in our minds and with song we memorized them and important thing. We do them when we hear about love and redemption and we hear the song we do those things because he's words do weight we obey the shepard and obey our God in the mountain when he told Israel to obey his word. And everything that comes out his mouth is a commandment.

And psalms that are music and words of his are his will and are words of love,hope, and empathy to us and we should sing to each one those words.

That is why we sings songs from the bible and that are from him. We don't sing songs from the world because of them people may have words from the devil and music from the devil. We have talked about it before people. Some worlds song do come from the devil that is why psalms and christians song is something we must sing to our lord.
