San Franciso is a one-party city. The Democrats rule there with zero opposition (there is no other party there). Chicago and Detroit are similar.

It's a very illuminating painting, maybe they could add the Caucasian children who died mining for coal to even things out

Too bad they can't move the mural to a new location but the way it is that would be impossible.

Mark Sanchez, vice president of the school board and a third-grade teacher, said students who must walk past the mural during the school day don’t have a choice about seeing the harmful images. “Painting it over represents not only a symbolic fresh start, but a real fresh start,” he said.

Seriously? Seeing a picture of history is harmful now? I wonder whether we should expect any survivors at all by the time they are taught about something like the Holocaust.
