I'm not big on watching fights, but I know a few people who are excited to see this one.

I won't be paying to watch the fight but it should be interesting to see a MMA fighter boxing a boxer. If it was the other way around there would be no contest.

Yeah, I think McGregor is best left to MMA. I'd never understood the appeal of MMA until I started watching a bit of it. These guys are good!

I don't like either of them. Maybe they will knock each other out. That would be cool

I didn't watch (I'm not a fan of boxing) but I think McGregor "won" simply by going 10 rounds - the odds were SO much against him that I think the "story" is how well he did.

Side point: We hear people complain about how much professional baseball players make (football and basketball "stars" often do even better). But I rarely hear anything about boxers, who make enormous amounts of money for a few minutes work (not a whole season). I'm not complaining (frankly, I applaud those who do well) just noting that for some reason entirely "lost" to me, the HUGE payments boxers get seem to get a "pass." Mostly. Just seems curious.

I DID watch the Little League World Series! A game about true sportmanship and love-of-the-game by those who get no payment at all.... I played baseball on that level and still love the game.

The team from Japan is a MACHINE - these boys are incredible to watch, amazing youth athletes (we could use a couple of these on the San Diego Padres). The Texas team this year was outstanding (they wouldn't get to this game is they were anything but that) but sadly couldn't seem to find their game (their star pitcher could not be used was part of the problem) and the Japanese team was just.... well...... incredible. The final score was 2-12 (game ending early because of the "mercy" rule in LL baseball). The Texas team has every reason to hold their heads high, it's just every team was overwhelmed by this group of boys from Tokyo who deserve the praise they are getting.
