What is some advice you could give to people living from paycheck to paycheck?

Look for any way you can trim costs, even if it seems trivial at the time, and save the money to build up a buffer against unexpected bills.

A lot of things seem tiny but add up. Turn the heat down by one degree. If you drive a car, drive it more gently, braking earlier or using engine braking and accelerating more gently.

Cut back on things you don’t need and try to save up as much as you can, only used for emergencies. Try to get overtime at your work if you can. But don’t overwork yourself.

There is no shame in going to foodbanks. Most community centers and churches have one. And if you do become a regular then they will know you and its a little more likely they'll give you a little something extra.
