I believe many diseases are psychosomatic. An example would be the first to dip in the pool of Siloam after an angel troubled the waters would be healed. A woman accused of adultery without evidence in the OT would be forced to drink dirt mixed with water. If she was guilty her belly would bloat or her thigh would rot. The Lord tells us:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 (KJV 1900)

Lies are pure hatred when falsely accusing others and would no doubt cause serious health problems. The wages of sin is death.
