I'm reading a book that the head of our Evangelism committee gave to me called "Spiritual Conversations in the Digital Age. It's produced in combination of the Barna Report and Lutheran Hour Ministries.

An interesting part of the study revealed that "The less people think about God, the less they talk about God." What that means in their series of studies, reports and polls is they found that when people pray more, do bible studies, go to church, etc they are more eager to approach others to talk about God.

The studies also revealed that in having spiritual conversations with others that in person ones were more effective, second place came phone conversations and next were text. Some of the reasons for that is because you're building a relationship with that person and you can gauge their reaction to how you speak better when the conversation is real life.
