this topic swings from those who erroneously think to be saved we must abide by the mosaic law -(like judaism as an extreme example through to 7th day adventist ..who somewhat jumble one or two pieces of the law as if it accomplished anything doing so )- through to spiritual liberalists who preach at the low end once saved always saved no matter what -through to anything goes and it is from them we get adulterous pastors and homsexual ministers .

both these extremes are not as common as you think .. but it is the less fringe sides of the coin where most of the contention lays .

the grace of God means unmerited favor .. it is this favor that is shown towards us in the very act of presenting the Gospel of Jesus to us and offering us an opportunity to be saved .an opportunity God has NO Obligation to offer he offers because he loves us -end of reason .

but if we were under the curse of death for breaking his perfect law of life .. then how much worse will it be if we abuse the favor he had no obligation to bestow upon us .

Those that play the grace card to justify continuance of sin (and they are not that many so outspoken that do so )merely display that they have not yet experienced the grace of God -though they know of it intellectually they have not experienced it .Because when they do. they will stop returning to sin . They have not yet come under the new covenant of Christ Jesus to know the Grace of God because when they have .., they will cease from the practice of sin .
And the way INTO the wondrous gracious new covenant is clearly explained in the scriptures ..
REPENT , be Baptized and you will recive the Holy Ghost .Without repentance ..the covenant is not entered into .
this is the point of contention between the law and grace and hyper grace debates .. many who cry "grace grace" but continue to practice sin make it evident that they have not yet experienced the grace of God by the very plain fact that they continue in the practice of a sin. Many may say they feel they cant help doing so, but this is simply evidence that they are in Bondage to sin and therefore , NOT free .but the GOOD NEWS is .. freedom awaits them in JESUS
As John writes by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit --
Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.
Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God.
Now some can get very upset when these verses are pointed out.. but there is no need to . the same grace of God still awaits ANY REPENTANT HEART
whoever humbles themselves and comes to him he will in no wise cast out . but we come to him on HIS TERMS not ours . we come to him in REPENTANCE and he will give us grace and mercy and the POWER of his Holy Spirit to abide IN him and IN HIS VICTORY over sin .setting us FREE from sin .
and one who is free need NOT serve the master he is set free from ever again . it is GOOD NEWS -it is what the Lord JEsus came to do and it is what he accomplished on the cross for us -he did not come to leave us languishing as pitiful prisoners of sin .but to take sin away from us destroy the devils works and set us FREE .

i personally ( OFFERING ONLY OPINION IN THIS POST ) feel that between law and grace lays a narrow balance a path running in between both extremes - a way that obeys the law BY grace .

a Narrow way that leads to life is what the lord Jesus said , and few there be that find it

I disagree. Law = Law.... full, powerful. You must be absolutely PERFECT just as God is. You must be HOLY just as God is. You must LOVE all in the same way Jesus did on the Cross. You must make disciples of all 7.2 billion people. Gospel = Gospel. Full, complete. God loves the sinful, terrible, disobedient world..... Christ died for His enemies.... Whoever believes in Him has everlasting life (and that faith is the gift of God because of His mercy).

There is no middle road. They don't cancel each other out. Where they meet is on the Cross, in the precious blood of Jesus - SHED because of the Law, FOR US because of the Gospel.

Staff edit of quoted post.

It's been beautifully and extensively explained to you.... by several..... repeatedly. But you seem SO focused on yourself, SO determined to subject the Gospel to the Law that it seems to escape you. We've TRIED. Heaven knows, we've tried.

This is a DISCUSSION forum, a place where we an learn. But yes, some come not to listen or learn, they come to preach. For those, there is no discussion just a demand we listen. We have listened to you (however tragic your message)..... we've TRIED to reply but to absolutely no avail, TRIED to discuss but it's not welcomed.

haha ..ouh yes i come declaring the scripture,s pointing out the plain text, focussing on the gospel message .. but you accuse me of focusing on self ?(false accusations yet again?)you have consistently voiced your opinions ..seldom the scriptures and now here again you accuse "me " .. the person .. . deal with the topic

law demands perfection
the blood of Jesus frees us from sin and restores perfection in him .. we the must then remain in him enduring to the end .. that what he says .. "if you endure to the end you will be saved

thus it is not works of the law .. and neither is it abusing the grace given .. it is the line of perfection down the middle which he has made open to us through his own sinlessness and his body rent .

Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
