The law kills.

The Gospel gives life.

It's interesting to me that under the Law, Israel was not commanded to evangelize. She did not seek to spread the knowledge of God to others and invite them to know the living God. Her God.

It would only be after Christ came, was rejected, killed, and rose from the dead, that the Jews began spreading the good news.
