Should parents require their kid(s) to play at least one sport, even if the kid(s) are not great at it, in order to teach their kid(s) social skills such as how to work well with others? (Why/Why Not)

I don't think parents should "require" it, but perhaps encourage would be the better term. If they're forced, they might not like it and could rebel against the entire concept, going against what the parent's actual goal was in the first place.

I don't think parents should require participation in sports. Encourage them if they decide to do a sport. Music and dance are ways to encourage working together also.

Requiring kids to play a sport they hate seems like a good way to turn them off sports for life. The main thing I learned about playing soccer in school (not optional) was that the team could get on just fine without me and were probably better off without me.

There are lots of situations where the kids are theoretically learning one thing but actually learning something very different.
