Politeness shows itself in our actions...in other words it goes back to how Jesus wants us to treat our neighbors
So we should demonstrate our love by torturing heretics into orthodoxy (because we love God) and then execute them before they can be led astray (because we care about their soul)? Do you mean something like that? :mischievous: op2:It also goes back to weighing actions more than words. Jesus also taught that in the parable about the two sons - not the prodigal but the one where one son says "yes father i'll do it" but doesn't and the other that says "no" but then reconsiders and does what the father asked.
The parable may have significance in theology. Is faith words alone or words and deeds?
