John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Jesus Christ is the good shepherd, and Israel his sheep. Psalm 100:3

John 10:12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

Those who scattered Israel, false messiahs, false prophets, the Pharisees, are in view above.

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

The scattered sheep is the believing remnant of Israel; the little flock.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The other sheep are the scattered, believing remnant. The believing remnant scattered into other countries, will be all gathered together, to form one nation, one fold; Israel and Judah will be one nation.

Jeremiah 23:3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

Ezekiel 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

John 11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

Or the other sheep Jesus was referring to might be the Gentiles who will believe in Him.

Hello

And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; John 11:51

That nation is Israel.

And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. John 11:52

Not that nation only, but the gathered of Israel that was scattered, to form one nation.

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:16

The verse above is talking of sheep not of this fold, which is Israel.

God is the God of Gentiles as well as Jews
Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one.

I kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance. For this reason some Jews seized me in the temple and tried to put me to death.

Gentiles could very well be the other sheep.

Jesus said when he is crucified he would draw ALL to him.

Anyone can become as a sheep and be saved.

Even the Samaritan woman knew that he is the Savior of the WORLD.

John 12:32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."

John 4:42 They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world."

Correct, the 'World' is always described as including the gentiles. The Jews are considered Gods chosen, this was always true but remember, they also slipped many times and not all remained on the path to God, Gods people are always those who are truly Israel, when I think OT prophets and kings I always think "Christians" because they always agreed with prophesy and those truly of Israel believe that Christ is the Messiah, these are those who started the churches, Peter was a Jew who became a believer of Christ the Messiah and by the Jew first (before gentile) it is said by Jesus that it is THIS rock that I will build my church and hell shall not prevail against it... Now, there is no difference between a Jew or Gentile who believes in God..

I believe that when Jesus walked the earth and told us to humble ourselves like children, and to repent of sins, and forgive others...he was telling us how to be sheep.

…unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven; Matthew 18:3.

…unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart; Matthew 18:35.

…unless you repent, you too will all perish; Luke 13:3.

Hi

To view the other sheep as Gentiles is held by lots of people. I just don't understand this to be the case, but I could be wrong and you and others right.

God always made provisions for the Gentiles to be saved. Paul, in the verses you gave, is the Apostle to the Gentiles and makes the most clear case of that. We do have to be careful of reading Paul back into the books of the Gospels and missing who these books are being directed to and what they are about.
