Jesus said he came to bring a sword between members of their own family

I've always wondered what he meant by that. I think its Mark 10:6-9, 1 John 4:7, and Matthew 22:2. The 2 heart heaven!

He wanted to say father, mother, brother, sister, and children don't mean anything above your wife. I can't find him saying leave your wife anywhere..



Its for Husband and Wife. Or Adam and Eve. 2 hearts in love.

Sorry you don't have a great mother-in-law. Mine was very bossy when we first got married but she changed and grew to become another mother to me.

I think the reason for so many divorces these days is the inability to tolerate the other person.

God doesn't want things coming between him and you. Just like he doesn't want riches to be more important than him (Jesus meeting the rich man). Basically he wants someone totally sold out to him - mind, body, soul.
