Dems are blasting thoughts and prayers but maybe that's because they don't think God works through prayers? Praying for little children is never wrong and I hope that there comes a day when they ask for prayers for their children, because you know what I'll do? I will pray.

I read something a Pastor I know wrote about this. The thoughts are prayers are for the victims and the families and the suffering they are going through at this time, that God grants them comfort and peace. The ones that are condemning prayers are that prayers do not end shooting or make parents feel safe. They don't bring back the deceased. These are issues that need to be addressed inconjuntion with prayers by other means. Things like mental health treatment. Things like calling what these shooting are: evil and sin.

I pray for not only the victims and the families, but also for a stronger mental health system and for a return to Christ crucified.

Again, everyone is given the chance to show exactly who and what they really are,

Pray for the surviving children, that they will overcome this trauma and go on to lead good lives in spite of it, that they receive the blessing of the Lord's presence in their lives.

Atheists are people that have prayed to God and not got any answer. This does not cancel out a person praying to God and getting an answer.

Saying that prayer does nothing to change events on earth is claiming to be omniscient. It is knowing more than can be known by the mortal human mind.

I have two great-grandchildren, four grandchildren, three children, and suffering children, who are always on my prayer list. God answers those prayers and all prayers four ways, since he always knows what's best: yes, no, not yet, and not the way you thought it would happen.
