Do you think the world (not just the U.S.) is ready for a woman President?

Do you think Hilary could do the job? No jokes, please ;)

I'm ready for an administration that will stop sending troops all over the world for the purpose of war, be it led by man, woman or child. :D

I hear ya on that one! My nephew is going to Iraq in about a week and it disgusts me that troops keep getting sent over there. I'm so done with that!

Her track record all the way back to Whitewatergate is dismal and ruthless. She wouldn't even be considered as a choice. Sarah Palin would be my pic

I don't see the difference between a male and a female President..as long as the qualifications are there.. why not??

It TOTALLY disgusts me to think that after our country is done bombing these different countries.. what do we do?? go back and give them money to repair the damage.. DUH.. does that make any sense at all???

How will other nations treat us with a woman in a primary role? Will they see us as weak?

I'll take Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann or Carly Fiorina. But, as Godiva notes, it makes no difference as long as the president, male or female, is a strong leader and champions the values and principles that this nation was founded with.

I'm praying for your nephew. How long is he over there. My husband was over there for a little over 9 months.

I just am looking who can best do the job be it man or woman and I don't think we'd be seen as weak having a woman as president. Many countries have had women presidents. I'm not sure about Hilary, I have to see what she would do as president. As for Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmen, no.

IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!

Rev. Dr. MARTIN LUTHER King, Jr.'s mature, Christian "dream" was when people would be judged by their CHARACTER - not by the color of their skin. I'd add or by their "Y" and "X" genes or ethnic background. I think the OBSESSION over outward stuff (over which no one has any control and which matters NOT AT ALL) is harmful.

It's fine that Hilary is pursuing this. Let her present her CHARACTER, integrity.... let her present the characteristics held that are important for the presidency..... let her present her goals and visions and plans...... IF Hilary is the best one for the office - great. If not, okay. But this has nothing...... nothing,,,, nothing to do with Hilary's gender - pro or con.

It's time for our society to GROW UP and get over the racism and sexism that still prevails..... And some would say few are promoting sexism more than Hilary.

Sorry.

PS I CAN say a FEW good things about our current president..... one of them is that HE rarely mentions his race (it's just EVERYONE ELSE does). Unlike Hilary, he never said "It's time for a half-Black president!" (although he sure let everyone else say that). Bill Clinton seemed to make more of a point about being Black than Obama does, lol.

Anyone can have some kind of physical problem during a crisis but Hilary I believe has gone through menopause already at her age.

Her and Bill seem to weather the scandels quite well and come out without a lot of damage. One thing I am sure of is that this country is going down and whoever is elected will be because God put them there to fulfill His judgement and plan.

I think the US is ready for a female president. As far as some of the countries we have been having to deal with, I am not sure that they would be ready for us to have a female president. As far as who, I have no suggestions at this time. I don't think there any that would be good for our country right now among those who are seeking the position.
