Is internet a human right (why or why not)?

I say yes and it should be made a human right. If the pandemic taught us one thing, it is that internet availability is a need more than a privilege.

Nowadays, the internet is definitely a human right. Applying for jobs, writing CV's and cover letters, to using the internet for work and home study and the pandemic has taught us how much we rely on it for essential purposes. It should be free and accessible as a open-source service.
