If you could retain just one bible verse from your studies, which one would that be?

I would like to retain several verses since they are needed to complete the thought. If I may do so, then how about

Job 19:25-27
25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

As a summary of the doctrine of predestination I submit:

“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:” Ephesians 1:11 (KJV 1900)

I receive the greatest comfort in knowing that not a grain of sand in a distant galaxy moves apart from Him. And that my salvation is eternally locked in His unchangeable will.

That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. [NIV] (1 Timothy 4:10)

(Rom 5:10) For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

I would just make the whole Bible verse 1. All 73 books the first and last verse.
