In my single days, the TV was on whenever I was home. Turning it on was among the first things I did in the morning, turning it among the last things I did at night. I might not be paying ANY attention to it, but it was on. I think it kept me company.
In my EARLY DAYS of marriage, I did this. But....well..... in those early days of marriage.... there were a GOODLY NUMBER of (let's call them) adjustments that were made (some more voluntary than others). I realize the TV was primarily a NOISE MACHINE that just created din that muted voices. I learned. Today, the TV is rarely on. And if it is, it is to WATCH something.
