I like it medium and the best is just sprinkled with sea salt on one side and pan fried in a cast iron skillet for a few minutes. I hated steak until I was in my late 30s!

Trouble?? It's super easy! I'll video it next time for you LOL You'll see how I make my discounted filet mignons and how tender they come out! You can't taste it though.

I checked medium but actually its medium - rare.

I'm not a HUGE meat eater, but I do occasionally like a good steak. My wife and I recently went to a Brazilian Steakhouse with friends of ours; a new experience for me. INCREDIBLE! Kind of a very upscale buffet (yeah, at $50.00 a pop) BUT the highlight is these nice, generous guys going around with these huge poles with hot meat...... many beef cuts I wasn't even real aware of (I mostly stuck with the filet - you could cut it with your fork), always all you want just cut off and put on your plate. Lamb chops too (I like those) and some pork and sausage things, too. All cooked to perfection, all offered constantly to your table. And very relaxed - we spent 2-3 hours there with all the food and considerable good wine. For someone who is NOT a big meat eater, I surprisingly LOVED it!

I recently made the transition to strict vegetarian or vegan so it's off the menu.

When I ate steak - medium to well done with respect to Torah law against eating blood and the fat trimmed off.

I dont even know what a steak is. On the bbq I think. If I sporadically eat meat or when I make it for the kids its always very well done cause we may not eat blood. Luckily for them I don't turn em into shoe soles anymore.
