Have you heard of Lanomax?

Lanomax is an eye drop invented by medical professionals and scientists. It is being tested out on animals such as dogs and rabbits. It clears away cataracts in their eyes. Cataracts are like a white film that covers their eye and prevents them from seeing.

The main active ingredient of Lanomax is Lenosterol.

Lenosterol is derived from a substance called Squalene.

Squalene is shark liver oil.

A shark is a fish.
The liver comes from the guts.
They’re using fish guts to dissolve cataracts.

That makes me think of a book in the Apocrypha.

How is this Christian theology?

How is this Christian theology?

Because people say the book of Tobit is “teaching magic” for saying that they used fish guts to heal cataracts.

I’m showing that it’s legitimate useful medicine, just like Tobit says.

“Afterward they traveled on together till they were near Media. The boy asked the angel this question: ‘Brother Azariah, what medicinal value is there in the fish's heart, liver, and gall?’ “
-Tobit 6:7 (NAB)

“as for the gall, if you rub it on the eyes of a man who has cataracts, blowing into his eyes right on the cataracts, his sight will be restored."
Tobit 6:9 (NAB)

“Tobiah went up to him with the fish gall in his hand, and holding him firmly, blew into his eyes. ‘Courage, father,’ he said. Next he smeared the medicine on his eyes, and it made them smart. Then, beginning at the corners of Tobit's eyes, Tobiah used both hands to peel off the cataracts.”
-Tobit 12:11-13 (NAB)

I suggest Staff permit the thread but move it to Food & Drink or Health forums.

It’s about whether or not Tobit is teaching magic (or sorcery)

Whether Tobit is or is not teaching sorcery and therefore endorsing sin, that’s involved in Christian Theology. Put it in whatever category you like. I think I’ve made my case that medicine is not magic.

Neither medicine or magic is Christian theology.

Would seem to me the OP is SPAM, trying to save itself with a reference to the Apocrypha.
