The Gospel is foolishness to those perishing 1 Corinthians 1:18 Those who do not believe tend to mock because they find it foolishness and some who do believe it might feel ashamed.

I was thinking of how saint Paul expands on the idea in his letters. How he explains that he is not ashamed of the gospel, nor of the cross, and that he is not ashamed to bear the reproach that Christ also bore by being crucified.
