Hurricanes

Has anyone gone through a hurricane before? They're fascinating aspects of nature, but ultimately also destructive.

the awesomeness of mother nature. scary stuff romanos.. we had hurricaine force winds near the coast before..but nothing too destructive. max 65 mph winds.

I have lived in Florida for over 30 years now, and Frances in 2004 came the closest. I had 90 mph winds for a few hours and it was quite the spectacle...my pine trees were dancing like I've never seen before or since. I was without power for about 2 weeks afterwards too. I had all the windows boarded up, but I couldn't help but go outside during the worst of it and feel the wind and see it firsthand...LOL! Sometimes I'm not that bright...that was pretty dangerous but since I wasn't hurt I am glad I did it.
