How often do you travel by plane? It's been a decade since we went on a flight and that was to my mother-in-law's funeral. We prefer to drive because it's cheaper.

Seems to be several times a year. Last year, I only flew once. No flights planned for this year at this time. It all depends on so many things.

As little as possible. The only time I have any interest in flying is when other modes of transport are impractical.

Only a few times as never really had to travel by plane unless otherwise. Nearly twenty years since I took my last plane ride. Don't mind planes as long as I never have to get on a small plane.

Oh I've never been on a small plane!! I can imagine it's frightening, especially with heavy turbulence.

Ever since 9/11 I have never wanted to get on a plane. Someday I would like to visit Ireland and Europe though...so maybe I will be brave one day and go for it.

If I ever went to Europe, I'd want one of those superfast jets that can get there in half the time!!

Do they fly commercially any more? I thought since Concorde was taken out of service the only way to improve the speed of a commercial flight was to charter some kind of private aircraft. That involves some big numbers.

Curiously, I usually took the opposite view. I flew between Europe and the US a number of times in years gone by, and if a flight was available on 9/11 I'd take it. The price was lower because there was much less demand, so I paid less for a plane that had plenty of empty seats in it.
