We certainly pass on our sin nature. And we certainly inherited it from .........Adam.

Children learn by watching their parents, so the influence is definitely there which means the parents can share in the blame. It's when mental illness of the child comes to light that the parents have decisions to make to determine the path. If the child doesn't receive treatment and commits a crime, who is to blame?

There is only ONE perfect parent. And both of His children acted BADLY. You can read about in Genesis Chapter 3.

There are no perfect human parents. There are no perfect children. This reality lets neither "off the hook" but it is a reality we should remember.

If they go to government school that is a big negative on the parents.

My kids watched some cartoons off DVDs, mainly Bob Builder and Scooby Doo, but we had them watch with language set to Spanish as part of their homeschool language education. They never watched TV as we got rid of the TV when we got married in 1989.
