How many can go older than this? For "used a floppy disk" was it 3.5", 5.25", 8"? What about using a cassette for loading and saving computer files?
I remember accessing BBS services before the internet was really a thing, with the cover of a rotary phone removed so that the computer modem (external, obviously) could be attached to the appropriate places with metal clips. A 1200/1200 modem was much faster than my friends had, most of them were using 300/300 modems.
I still use physical maps when I'm hiking outside the area I know well. They have no concerns about battery drainage or cell phone coverage. There's something strangely satisfying about a physical map that digital maps just don't replicate.
