How do you cut your grass?

Some people still use those push lawn mowers, while some use the ride on ones, or even the ones that you just hold down the lever and it pushes it automatically. Which one do you use?

We have a lawn tractor that my husband uses since we live on an acre of land.

I've got an old thing in the garage with a drum blade that requires quite a lot of effort to push. It still works. I never use it.

I have a gas-powered walk-behind mower. Our yard is an odd shape and a ride-on mower doesn't make sense for us. The mower drives itself, you just have to pull the handle and it drives, albeit slowly. Walking behind it while I mow the lawn is usually enough to chalk up 5-6000 steps on my fitbit, so that's OK with me too.

Cutting grass is the worse chore to me that I do! It takes all day for me, I start by walking the property picking up any debris so I don't run over stuff. I also try to see if any animals are nesting in the grass (have killed frogs and mice but luckily have avoided baby rabbits). I start with the rider, then I switch to the self-propelled push mower to get into spots the rider can't, then the whacker, then the edger and finish with the blower. I'm fastidious when I do it (creating patterns in the lawn for one, no grass or tire markings on the concrete), but sometimes I pay to have it done and then it doesn't bother me if it wasn't done right.
