yes, Luke travelled with Paul and the gospel according to Luke and acts was written by him. Mark's acct is presumably from Peter's remembrance altho it's been debated that he was the young man that ran naked from the garden at Jesus' arrest.
There's some threads on CH that pertain to 4 faces and this ties in well.
Ezekiel 1:10:
As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
Matthew represents Jesus as the Lion of Judah in His kingdom. Mark portrays Him as figuratively with the face of an ox, that is, as a Servant. Luke paints Jesus as a man, the "second" Adam. In John, Jesus is figuratively portrayed with the face of an Eagle, the Son of God.
All 4 form the complete picture of Him.
