I'm looking for a church home. I'm Polish Catholic (which is very different from American Catholic)
in general I'm looking for a non-denominational church, with a mixed congregation.
Eventually I want to be a part of the church as an associate pastor.
I'm a writer and I've been told my work (writing essays on Christian teaching) is quite good.
Though I'm having a hard time finding a church with my requirements, over the internet.
Can anyone help out?
Your post hit me.
You’re not just looking for a church—you’re looking for home. A place where truth isn't diluted, where the Spirit isn't quenched, and where your calling can be stirred, tested, and refined. That’s not easy to find—especially online. And especially in a time when many churches have swapped holiness for hype and conviction for comfort.
You said you're Polish Catholic, but drawn now to something more non-denominational. That tells me you're seeking something real—something alive. Maybe you've outgrown tradition, not in rebellion, but because you're being called deeper into truth.
Let me say this clearly: God has not forgotten you.
That desire to write, to preach, to serve as an associate pastor? That’s not just ambition. That sounds like a fire God Himself lit in your bones.
> “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.”
—Isaiah 30:21
My advice? Don’t chase a perfect church. Chase God’s presence.
Wherever that’s honored—where the Word is preached without compromise, where the Spirit is welcome, and where the broken are not entertained but transformed—that’s home.
You may not find it by browsing websites. You might need to walk into some buildings, sit through some awkward services, and wait on the Holy Spirit to say, “Here.”
And if you’re called to ministry—prepare in the wilderness first. That’s where prophets are shaped. That’s where God burns away self and stirs up purity.
Keep writing. Keep praying. Stay obedient.
The door will open when the time is right—and not before.
> “Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.”
—Habakkuk 2:3
If you want to talk more about calling, spiritual hunger, or what to look for in a church that actually walks in power and truth, feel free to message me.
You're not alone.
The remnant is rising.
